It’s ben almost a month since I’ve updated on here – whoops. Since last time, I’ve done by nails via Dashing Diva strips again, got my hair trimmed quite a bit shorter than I normally would have, and took 2 mini trips to Albany, NY and Hartford, CT. I’ve learned that for some reason, state capital cities are pretty trashy. I thought it was just a Trenton thing but apparently not.

Anyway, here’s the nails (they’re 9 days old now):

And, yes, that is my Pretty Things Poncho that I’m still working on. I’m 100% going to run out of the gray yarn, and will probably wind up with too short sleeves half in white but it is what it is. The chances of me getting my hands on more of that gray are very slim to none. Ah well, this one may be a failure, but it’s given me ideas for future ponchos that will hopefully work out much better.

Next up, Albany. I went with CWA to lobby for increased funding to Medicaid to fund staffing for NYS hospitals. Here’s some of that:

Lastly, Hartford. My husband and I went for a little weekend getaway/his birthday/to see Distant Worlds and on man, does Hartford actually suck. Here’s some less shitty pictures:
